Fall in Oregon Wine Country
Fall in Oregon Wine Country means grapes and leaves changing colors. It is the prime time to head out to wineries. You get to feel the electricity of harvest, see the changing colors of autumn trees and taste the award winning Pinot Noir. Here are something to do during fall in Oregon Wine Country:
Go on a Wine Tour
This is the most obvious choice. At Vino Ventures we consider fall to be peak season to go on a wine tour. The crisp fall air pairs perfectly with Oregons award winning Pinot Noir. Furthermore, the changing leaves add to the already spectacular view you see at wineries throughout the Willamette Valley and the grapes in the vineyard will be getting darker.
Go Stay in a Wine Country B&B
The Willamette Valley has plenty of Beds & Breakfasts to choose from. On of our personal favorites is Willamette Valley Bed & Breakfast located in the heart of Oregon Wine Country. All Suites are equipped with a gas fire place and large soaking tub, making it the perfect place to unwind while looking out your private deck.
Drive in Movie
After a long day exploring wine country, unwind by catching the latest flick at 99w Drive in Theater in Newberg.
Silver Falls State Park
Silver Falls is a heavily trafficked loop. Some refer to this trail as the trail of 10 falls. It is the largest state park in Oregon with an area of more than 9,000 acres, and it includes more than 24 miles of walking trails, 14 miles of horse trails, and a 4-mile bike path. Its most famous feature is the 117-foot South Falls. This waterfall is only steps from the south falls day area. Visitors can admire the breathtaking view from above before descending into a cave behind the falls along the Maple Ridge Loop past seven incredible water features, including the two tiered Double Falls.
